Computed Tomography (CT)

CT scans for animals are very clever! It gives us a full internal 3D image of your pet, so we can get more information to quickly diagnose and hopefully treat them- for more info please read on.

CT is an advanced diagnostic imaging procedure that provides highly detailed, cross-sectional views of your pet’s internal structures. Using a series of low-dose X-rays combined with sophisticated computer technology, a CT scan creates precise 3D images of bones, organs, blood vessels and soft tissues. This non-invasive procedure allows veterinarians to detect tumours, fractures, internal injuries, neurological conditions and other complex health concerns with exceptional accuracy. Fast, safe and painless, CT imaging helps guide treatment planning, surgical procedures and ongoing care—ensuring your pet receives the most accurate diagnosis and the highest standard of veterinary medicine.

Endoscopy

Endoscopy for pets is the same as in humans, it is a very clever little camera and a light on a tube that allows us to look into your pets throat, stomach, rear end, nasal sinus, deep in the ear etc, its a great help for swallowed objects, recurrent sneezing, and regular tummy problems- more info below:-

Endoscopy is  a minimally invasive diagnostic and treatment procedure that allows veterinarians to examine the inside of your pet’s body without the need for traditional surgery. Using a thin, flexible tube equipped with a light and high-definition camera, an endoscope is gently guided into areas such as the digestive tract, airways, or nasal passages to provide clear, real-time images. This advanced technology helps diagnose conditions like chronic vomiting, diarrhoea, foreign body ingestion, respiratory issues, and certain tumours. In many cases, endoscopy can also be used to remove foreign objects or collect tissue samples for biopsies. Because it requires only small or no incisions, endoscopy typically results in less discomfort, reduced risk and faster recovery times—helping your pet return to normal activities more quickly.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound for pets- its the same as human scans to check on your pregnancy and internal problems-  it is a safe, non-invasive imaging technique that uses sound waves to create real-time images of your pet’s internal organs and soft tissues. Unlike X-rays, ultrasound does not use radiation, making it a gentle and effective tool for evaluating the heart, liver, kidneys, bladder, spleen and reproductive organs. This technology allows veterinarians to assess organ function, detect tumours or cysts, monitor pregnancies and guide procedures such as needle biopsies with precision. Comfortable and typically well-tolerated, ultrasound provides valuable diagnostic information quickly helping your veterinary team develop accurate treatment plans while keeping your pet’s safety and comfort a top priority.

Radiography

Digital X-rays for pets are a fast, safe and highly effective way to evaluate your pet’s bones, joints, lungs, heart and abdominal organs. Using low levels of radiation, radiography produces detailed images that help veterinarians diagnose fractures, arthritis, swallowed foreign objects, respiratory conditions and other internal concerns. The procedure is quick and non-invasive and in many cases can be performed during a routine visit. With modern digital technology, images are available almost instantly, allowing for prompt diagnosis and timely treatment planning. X-rays are an essential diagnostic tool that help ensure your pet receives accurate care when it matters most.

Dentals

Dental procedures for pets are an essential part of maintaining overall health and preventing painful oral disease. Unfortunately pets wont sit in a chair and open their mouths like we do, so they do require an anaesthetic for most dental procedures.  Professional veterinary dental care includes comprehensive oral exams, digital dental X-rays, scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar and treatment of periodontal disease. When necessary, extractions or other corrective procedures are performed to relieve pain and eliminate infection. Because dental disease can affect the heart, liver and kidneys if left untreated, routine dental care plays a critical role in your pet’s long-term wellbeing. Veterinary dental procedures help keep your pet’s mouth healthy and quality of life at its very best, fresh breath is the added bonus!

Veterinary Nurses

Veterinary Nurses play a vital role in your pet’s care during appointments, providing compassionate support and skilled medical assistance every step of the way. They perform thorough patient assessments, record vital signs, administer vaccinations and medications, collect laboratory samples and assist with diagnostic procedures and treatments. Veterinary nurses also provide guidance on nutrition, parasite prevention, wound care and post-operative instructions, helping you feel confident about caring for your pet at home. Acting as an advocate for your pet’s comfort and wellbeing, they work closely with the veterinarian to ensure each visit is efficient, informative and tailored to your pet’s individual needs.

We are very lucky to have advanced qualified nurses with Behavioural, anaesthesia, nutrition, mobility and emergency medicine qualifications, so our nurses are a very skilled part of the new team.
